ILIAM stands for Insurance-Linked Investments Awareness Month
ILIAM, presented by Life Solutions International, featured a series of educational events with expert panelists and provided a wealth of important information, industry news and resources throughout February 2009. Panelists included fund managers, institutional investors, legal professionals, medical underwriters and life expectancy providers, actuaries, life settlement providers and portfolio servicers. The five-part series covered key areas for participants on the alternative asset class of insurance-linked products, including distressed asset opportunities, premium finance lending, purchase considerations, legal and regulatory issues, actuarial requirements, portfolio structures, transactions and servicing.
